Lara Croft: Feminist Icon or object of sexual desire for the male gaze?
Lara Croft played by Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider can be a feminist icon or object of sexual desire, i think that she is represented as a sexual desire for men she has been desired i think to attract the male audience, she has been put into tightly fitted clothes that reveal her curves and features also she has the scenes that show us her real strength and intelligence. So she could be read as being a object of desire or in fact a feminist icon but then scene in the shower is irrelvent to the story and is just there for the men to fantasize over.
